Description: Hiring a Administrator/Director of Patient Services for a large, licensed homecare organization. The Administrator/Director of Patient Services plans and provides oversight to all agency clinical and administrative operations to ensure regulatory compliance, quality of care, adequacy and competency of clinical personnel and appropriate billing and efficiency. The Administrator/Director of Patient Services ensures appropriate hiring, orientation, supervision, evaluation and ongoing education of all staff and acts as liaison with all regulatory agencies

Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Medicare Conditions of Participation and Department of Health CHHA Regulations and other pertinent Federal and State regulations.
  • Ensures appropriate hiring, orientation, supervision, evaluation and ongoing education
  • Ensures appropriate provision of services to meet patients’ needs
  • Ensures compliance with billing requirements for all payers
  • Responsible for development of Agency Policies and Procedures
  • Coordinates and provides reports to the Professional Advisory Committee
  • Oversees agency’ s Quality Improvement Program
  • Ensures timely and accurate OASIS submission and participation in quality reporting
  • Responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of emergency plan
  • Prepares agency Annual Evaluation
  • Implements an effective budgeting and accounting system
  • Serves as a liaison to the governing body, and attends meetings
  • Collaborates with other personnel to establish personnel policies and procedures including wages, salaries and benefits and assures compliance with applicable laws.
  • Promotes client relations by receiving complaints and compliments. Makes home visits.
  • Coordinates the performance of aide Exception Audits and resolution of Conflict Reports as required by OMIG, aggregates results and follows up on areas of deficiency
  • Coordinates and participates in agency On-Call supervisory rotation and is available as needed on a 24 hour 7 day/week basis.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Master’ s degree in business administration, nursing, public health or health related field
  • Licensed to practice as a registered nurse in NY state

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of management level experience in a Certified Home Health Agency
