Job Description
Our client, a renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently seeking to hire an experienced Administrator, OB/GYN Department. The Administrator will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic operational, fiscal, and human resources agenda for the department. The Administrator will oversee and direct a wide range of administrative, operational, fiscal, strategic, quality, customer service and clinical/non-clinical activities to ensure that the department meets the center’s strategic goals and objectives. The Administrator will be responsible for development and maintenance of quality and service standards and mechanisms to monitor performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and directs a wide range of administrative, operational, fiscal, strategic, quality, customer service and clinical/non-clinical activities to ensure that the department meets strategic goals
- Execute and act on decisions in an ambiguous environment
- Responsible for compliance with all regulatory standard
- Lead grant-funded services program
- Work with Senior Leadership to develop strategy to grow and expand existing services to other parts of the health system.
- Generate and foster partnerships across the enterprise to develop and drive value added services
- Oversee professional development, manage employee performance and talent acquisition.
- Develop talent succession plans for leadership.
- Provide direction to and supervises subordinate management and department staff.
- Develop the department’s fiscal and programmatic planning process (including grant funded programs) and leads and coordinates the development and documentation of all planning functions.
- Evaluate fiscal and programmatic plans with respect to their efficacy in meeting stated objectives.
- Review strategic initiatives and department growth strategies on a regular basis to identify growth opportunities and evaluate performance against business objectives.
- Oversee compliance with all funding agencies by ensuring that information required is maintained and reported on a regular basis.
- Plan, develop and recommend new programs for the department. Propose and implement new programs to generate additional revenue.
- Effectively manage the various operational, fiscal and programmatic challenges presented with leading a clinical department that incorporates distinct programs, revenue structures and personnel.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required in a Healthcare related field
- 7+ years’ experience in management and the healthcare field
- Prior grants management experience is required
