As the Administrative Nurse Manager for our Apheresis Clinic and Cellular Therapy Collections Program, you’ll play a critical role in transforming patient outcomes while leading a dynamic team of specialized nursing professionals. Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership & Patient Care: Ensure the highest standards of care, delivering exceptional clinical services that prioritize a positive patient experience.
- Team Management: Provide direction and oversight to nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.
- Staff Competency & Development: Assess and enhance the clinical competencies of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
- Program Oversight: Supervise daily operations within the Apheresis Clinic and Cellular Therapy Collections Program, ensuring seamless workflows and optimal patient outcomes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, and prepare for successful audits and accreditations.
- Training & Development: Offer clinical guidance and hands-on training, while conducting competency evaluations to ensure nursing staff are operating at their highest potential.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside a team of healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve patient care quality, leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage staffing, budgets, and supplies, ensuring the program runs efficiently without compromising care standards.
- Ethical Leadership: Uphold and enforce institutional policies, ensuring ethical standards are met and exceeded.
- Support Research: Collaborate in groundbreaking clinical trials and research projects that are pushing the boundaries of cellular therapies.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state license
- BSN required
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- Apheresis qualification from the American Society for Apheresis is preferred or must be obtained within one year of employment
- Advanced knowledge of apheresis procedures (e.g., red cell exchange, plasma exchange, photopheresis)
- Expertise in regulatory standards (FDA, AABB, CAP, FACT, DOH, TJC)
- Proficiency in EMR systems and office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven leadership skills with a focus on motivation, development, and problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Familiarity with Apheresis machines (e.g., Spectra Optia, Cellex) and other medical devices related to IV placement and phlebotomy
