Job Description
Our client, a nationally renowned academic medical center and integrated healthcare delivery system, is currently hiring an Administrative Nurse Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in performance improvement/research activities
- Manage all clinical administrative functions (patient care delivery, fiscal, material and human resources) of nursing unit(s) within a Care Center on a 24-hour basis
- Create an environment in which autonomy is nurtured, encouraged and reflected in a highly competent workforce capable of providing quality care
- Facilitate and promote the delivery of Patient/Family Centered Care
- Management of fiscal, human and other resources to provide appropriate patient care and promote the financial viability of the medical center
- Identification of actual and potential high-risk situations and quality issues with appropriate intervention as needed including resolution and referral
- Assessment of patient and family needs
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license
- BSN Required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or Health related field preferred
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- 3+ years management experience required
- Evidence of excellent interpersonal relationships
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to motivate, develop, and coach individuals and groups
- Ability to appropriately confront issues and think creatively
