Job Description
Our client, a leading academic medical center, seeks an experienced Administrator to lead the Department of Medicine. This individual will drive the department’s strategic, operational, fiscal, and HR initiatives while ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all administrative, operational, financial, clinical, and strategic functions.
- Lead strategic planning, budget development, program expansion, and compliance.
- Evaluate and improve departmental performance, quality, and service standards.
- Direct staff management, including hiring, performance reviews, development, and succession planning.
- Build cross-departmental partnerships and foster collaboration across the health system.
- Oversee grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with funding agency requirements.
- Develop and scale programs at affiliated sites; identify and implement new revenue opportunities.
- Strengthen relationships with the Medical School and support clinical research growth.
- Leverage data to optimize revenue streams and improve resource allocation.
- Drive quality improvement, innovation, and technology adoption.
- Serve as a change agent with strong organizational development skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field required.
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare management experience.
- Proven expertise in grants management.
- Strong financial acumen and strategic leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
- Mission-driven with a commitment to healthcare equity.
- Tech-savvy, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent.
