Job Description
Our client a large Medical Center has an opening for an Administrator Director of Radiology. The Administrator Director will assists with the development, interpretation and implementation of departmental policies, budgets, and goals of the Radiology department to ensure high quality service to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs and supervises all technical aspects of the section of department.
- Recommends action to the Chairman. Assists in the planning for all facilities.
- Maintenance of existing equipment, purchasing and stock level.
- Maintaining radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the Chairman.
- Technical aspect of radiologic safety within the hospital
- Administration of the department. Provide recruitment when necessary
- Represents the department at administrative conferences and may represent the Chairman in other than medical aspects and upon delegation.
- Participates in the intern and residency program. Participates in community health education and career programs
- Development and implementation of the operating, salary expense and capital budgets.
- Development of programs and mechanisms for compliance with the standards of JCAHO, Article 28 and other City, State and Government Agencies
- Development of programs and mechanism to routinely monitor the quality and appropriateness of the services rendered by the Radiology department and all of its divisions.
- Development of planning and control mechanisms for all aspects of the Radiology Department and its divisions.
- Coordinates and maintains ongoing Performance Improvement Program.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3+ years job-related experience required
- Completed formal training in AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, preferred
- Meet requirements for Registry certification as approved by ARRT, preferred
- 3+ years management experience in Radiology and Hospital Administration, preferred
