Job Description

This role offers a unique opportunity to be an integral part of a dynamic radiology team dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostics and patient-centered care. The Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with attending physicians and staff to enhance patient outcomes, streamline clinical processes, and support the department’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assist attending radiologists in performing procedures, patient assessments, and diagnostics.
- Review patient charts, evaluate abnormal lab and X-ray reports, and support medication renewals.
- Contribute to reducing patient length of stay through efficient care coordination.
- Support the implementation of new policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards such as JCAHO.
- Differentiate between normal and abnormal patient findings to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including preparing monthly reports and contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain excellent communication with patients and staff to ensure a smooth and effective care environment.
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant license and certification.
- Proven experience in radiology or medical imaging settings.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to differentiate between normal and abnormal findings.
- Familiarity with chart reviews, lab and X-ray evaluations, and medication management.
- Knowledge of JCAHO standards and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
