Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare system dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric care, is hiring a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their dynamic team. This reputable institution is committed to delivering comprehensive, high-quality medical services within a thriving academic environment, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a passionate team of physicians and healthcare professionals. The Pediatric Anesthesiologist will be responsible for administering anesthesia to pediatric patients across a variety of surgical and diagnostic procedures, both in hospital and outpatient settings. The role emphasizes collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, participation in teaching activities, and involvement in scholarly research. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to pediatric patient care in a resource-rich environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and innovative practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients, including routine and complex cases, in both hospital and ambulatory settings.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, CRNAs, residents, and fellows to ensure safe and effective anesthesia delivery.
- Participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to academic growth and scholarly activities.
- Assist with perioperative management, including preoperative assessments and postoperative care.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and research projects as part of the academic team.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology or actively participating in the certification process.
- Ability to obtain a New York State Medical License.
- Completion of an approved Residency in Anesthesia.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to pediatric care and team-based collaboration.
