Job Description
Our client, a leading healthcare provider within a prominent health network, is hiring a highly skilled Interventional Radiologist to spearhead the development and expansion of a new Interventional Radiology service line. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to shape innovative interventional programs, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic community setting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the establishment and growth of the Interventional Radiology (IR) service line, setting standards for excellence in clinical practice.
- Perform a comprehensive range of IR procedures, including vascular interventions, tumor ablation, biopsies, drainage, embolization, and pain management techniques.
- Provide consultative support to referring physicians, ensuring prompt and effective communication to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with surgical and other specialty teams to incorporate IR services into integrated care pathways.
- Share on-call IR coverage in coordination with the Department of Radiology, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Participate in department and hospital QA/PI initiatives, and serve on relevant committees to support hospital-wide quality improvements.
- Mentor, recruit, and build a dedicated IR team to support service delivery and growth.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology.
- Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
- Proven clinical expertise in the full scope of diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in developing new service lines preferred.
- Excellent communication and team-building skills.
