Description: Hiring a Lead Electrophysiology Technologist who will demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities to support a high quality, clinical execution of the full array of Electrophysiology and Cardiac procedures, including device insertions, Electrophysiology Studies and Ablations in the laboratory setting, as well as patient prep, hemodynamic and EKG monitoring, complication management and the orientation of staff to the Electrophysiology Lab to promote and maintain patient safety.

  • Insure safe transference of patient through Electrophysiology & Device Implant procedures.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of hemodynamics. Perform hemodynamic monitoring
  • Cognizant of emergency situations, recognizes lethal arrhythmias.
  • Instrumentation during Electrophysiology procedures
  • Assist the Cardiologist utilizing established aseptic and sterile techniques.
  • Provide radiation safety.
  • Maintain lead apron and radiation badge detection quality assurance.
  • Maintains environment integrity for a sanitary, cost effective, and time efficient Electrophysiology Lab.
  • Demonstrate the ability to maintain inventory par levels and avoid critical lows.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of all Radiology and other equipment in the EP/Cardiac Lab
  • Insure that all medical records are accurately labeled and stored.
  • Competent in the use of the unit's radiology, and imaging equipment, the hemodynamic monitoring system and storage of patient images in the medical record system.

Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • RRT registration, 3-5yrs experience or RCES/RCIS
  • NY license
  • BCLS, ACLS current

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years cardiac cath lab/Electrophysiology Lab experience

Desired Skills:
  • Proficient in providing technical assistance in EP procedures such as device implants (PM, ICD, and Bi-V devices) and catheter ablations (SVT, AF and VT) will be highly preferred
  • Hands on knowledge of Fluoro and imaging systems (Carto, Prucka, Cryo, CardioLab experience preferred)
