Description: Hiring an Executive Vice President, Mission Services for a nonprofit organization that empowers individuals. The Executive Vice President, Mission Services designs strategies to serve people with disabilities and barriers to employment, lead to best in class social services, prepare proposals for government and philanthropy and negotiate contracts. The Executive Vice President, Mission Services is responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the organization’s Mission Services division focusing on people with disabilities and integrating mission into all parts of the social enterprise.
Responsibilities:

  • Design strategies to serve people with disabilities and barriers to employment, lead best in class social services, prepare proposals and negotiate contracts
  • Ensure the social enterprise promotes core value of mission – that the organization hires, trains, promotes, supports and grows people with disabilities to the power of work.
  • Monitor programs to assure contract compliance and funding source goals and objectives.
  • Provide fiscal oversight to division including development of budgets and monitoring
  • Create vision for innovative approaches to levering services that are person lead and lead to independence, wellness and engaging in employment and community. Developing and leading transformation to value-based payments.
  • Review RFPs for new programs based on mission and ensuring synergy and fiscal stability.
  • Maintain and cultivate new relationships with funding sources for continued success
  • Maintain/develop linkages with community-based organizations, medical providers, educational facilities, etc. and ensure the organization is a strong partner on programs.
  • Stay abreast of changing landscape in service delivery/funding models on Federal, State and City level. Be a leader in innovation in new models by testing and measuring impacts
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for emerging populations to be served

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work, Public Health, disability policy or related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • Ten plus years of progressive supervisory experience working with wide array or employment and social service programs in a not for profit or public-sector organization.
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, health outcomes and improving independence for people with disabilities.
  • Experience with social service research design or marketing impact stories.
  • Experience with program design, development and implementation, and problem solving.

Desired Skills:

  • Must have strong analytical, management and financial skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of a variety of services and funding streams for services for individuals with disabilities, mental health, and substance use disorder.
