Responsible for leading the Hospital’ s efforts relating to Quality Care Programs, Information Technology, implementation of the DSRIP program, and Care Management Areas. Responsible administratively for the staff in these respective areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overseeing the quality management function organization wide.
  • Create annual quality & patient safety goals, advance quality metrics in pay for performance (QHIP) and public reporting programs (Hospital Compare), 5 star CMS program, core measure achievement, and achievement of VBP metrics for all payers
  • Pursue specific quality certifications as directed.
  • Oversee care management, utilization review, insurance denials and social work services.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Quality, administratively responsible to coordinate the Hospital’ s responses to all regulatory issues, including TJC accreditation, and timely and appropriate response to all DOH and TJC complaints, and Title 18 oversight
  • Administratively responsible for the operation of the Hospital’ s IT department
  • Oversee the strategic direction of IT implementation, achievement of meaningful use standards including the proper use of the E.H.R., the expansion of IT services relating to new Hospital sites, and maintaining the security of the Hospital IT systems and programs.
  • Leads the organization’ s efforts in regards to DSRIP implementation - oversees progress toward project implementation, accomplishment of established metric achievement, and drives the process of population health management.
  • In conjunction with the Chief of Medicine and the Chief Medical Officer, responsible for leading the Hospital’ s efforts to reduce Length of Stay, and maximizing value based purchasing.
  • Oversee the operation of the Infection control program in the Hospital, including the notification of public health outbreaks, ensuring infection control precautions are standardized and monitored (e.G. Handwashing), and ensuring best practices to minimize risk of surgical site infections and hospital-acquired infections.
  • Responsible for the co-administration of the ACO.
  • Assist in developing evidence-based guidelines, monitors the achievement of CMS quality metrics and shared savings in the ACO.
  • Administratively responsible for the Hospital’ s Patient satisfaction program and department
  • Implement programs designed to improve H-CAHPS and ambulatory CAHPS scores. 
  • Engage staff in improvement programs to ensure patient concerns and complaints are addressed in a timely manner, and works to create a culture to provide excellent patient experience; Perform and ensure leadership rounding.
  • Responsible for related projects and for other management activities as required by the Hospital.

Requirements:
  • Experience required in the responsibility(ties) of the position as described.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in the delivery of health care in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting required.
  • BSN is required
