Job Description
Our client, a hospital network in Staten Island, New York, is hiring a BE/BC Gastroenterologist Hospitalist to join a growing team. Duties include inpatient procedural services, managing hospitalized patients, endoscopic inpatient procedures, colonoscopies, PEG procedures and consultations. The ideal candidate will have had experience in multiple GI procedures (ERCP/EUS not required but a plus).
Job Responsibilities:
- Be an integral member of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- Work closely with the Chief of Gastroenterology
- Provide inpatient consults for the GI consult service
- Perform general endoscopic inpatient procedures
- Supervision and teaching of gastroenterology residents
- Call coverage
Job Requirements:
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License
- Active NYS DEA
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
