Job Description
Our client, a leading non-profit medical center in Westchester County, is hiring a Budgeting Manager. The Budget Manager Position will ensure that the Organization is financially responsible in delivering high quality patient care with a commitment to service excellence. Manage and coordinates all aspects of the facilities' operating and capital budgets and participates in the ongoing process to identify opportunities to restructure work and implement new models of care and labor. Acts as an internal consultant to help identify and implement new programs and processes directed at efficiency, and coordinates the monitoring and review of all applicable statistical and financial variance reports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Performance Standards, Policies, and Behaviors
- Supervise and coordinate Organizational Management Reports
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly reporting of Volume Statistics, Operating Revenue,
- Operating Expenses, and Capital Expenditures
- Identify trends and fluctuations
- Present findings to Senior Leadership
- Provide insightful ad hoc analyses relating to all aspects of the organization as needed
- Coordinate with department leaders and finance team for the timely and accurate completion
- of the Annual Capital, Operating Budgets, and Year End Financial Forecast.
- Support senior management to formulate budget package and preparation of budget presentations
- Supervise and coach Financial Analysts
- Lead and participate in various special projects for Finance and Operations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business or Finance desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional healthcare analysis experience
- Knowledge of healthcare budgeting, financial forecasting and cost accounting, industry statistical indicators and best practices
- Experience with Kaufman Hall/Axiom/Syntellis Budgeting & Management Reporting
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Understand key issues and synthesize complex information to communicate to various audiences.
- Refined analytical skills; comfort manipulating and summarizing observations from large data sets
